85 Z31 wheel guidelines?

I have a 1985 Z31(4x114.3). What are the limits as to what offset/rim width I can run with a 17" or 18" rim.....essentially, what are my guidelines.(ex. "no more than +/-offset, no wider than "x"). Thanks for any help provided.

do yourself a favor and swap to 5 lugs no and your have lots more wheel options
