I just replaced 3 of my injectors because one of them was not firing. I checked it by placing a long screwdriver on it and put my ear to it and it was not clicking like the rest. Once I pulled the fuel rail I found 2 more that were cracked so I replaced them as well. I still have the same problem. The no. 6 injector is not firing. Also when the RPMs are below 3000 it runs like crap. as soon as I get above 3000 then it runs fine. Does anyone have any sugestions?

Maybe an issue in the harness?

Pretty sure the Z31 didn't have VTC (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so not sure why the 3000 rpm mark is where it evens out.

I'd check your EFI harness, then check your timing settings. Timing can cause a car to run like crap, hesitate, and misfire. It's not gonna be causing your injector not to fire, however.

I checked the timming last night and it was erratic. At idle it was barely running at about 400 RPM. and when I gave it gas and tried to hold it at about 2000 RPM it would get up to 2000 then bog down. I am thinking it is fuel starved. I am going to remove the fuel filter today and see what it looks like and post the results. Thanks for the reply!

I checked the fuel filter and it was clogged, so I am going to recheck the timing to make sure it is within specs.

on a side note I did find a connector that isnt plugged into anything right behind the intake plenum. any ideas on what it could be? I will post a pic in a few min.

Here is the connection I was talking about. Does anyone know where it goes?

step 1 would be to check the ecu for codes, step 2 would be to verify taht the car is idling on all 6 cylinders, as for that plug, I havn't run a stock ecu and harness well ever, perhaps someone with a stockish engine can identify that one, although it does look like the one that leads tot he reverse light switch on the trans?
