85 skyline probs

Gday, i have a 85 nissan skyline 2.4e (not a performance model). the problem is that the engine keeps cutting out whilst im driving for no apparent reasons (no warning on the dash) - there also seems to be no pattern when it does it and always starts up again successfully straight after. any ideas???
