Hello everyone. I have a very odd problem. I recently bought a 85 720 5speed 4x4 here in Alaska and I love it minus the issue I’m currently having. The truck goes in 4 high no problem and does great. But 4low is another story. I have gotten the truck in 4 low 2 times and it was by shear luck. It’s like the handle won’t pull back far enough. There is nothing blocking it from doing so. When I have gotten it to catch the gears to go into 4 low I was moving at around 5-10 and it would obviously grind a little bit then slip in. I’ve changed the transfer case fluid and continued to try with no luck. Supposed to be going out wheeling this weekend so any help is greatly appreciated!
