85 nissan 300zx idle problems

i bought my 300zx for 300 it was sating for about 4yr. when i bought it the top end was off of it. i put it all back together and when i start it i idles like crap and this is the first 300zx i mess with so if anybody can help me that would be great.

dod you check the parts before assymbling? if the tops end was off, I assume there was a problem, was that problem solved?

is the car running on all 6 cylinders?
