Well, I hadn't even thought of taking pictures durring the process of taking the old transmission out and putting the new one in. But I took some after we finished:

Well, we started out about two weeks ago (we got the new transmission about a month ago). We started taking it out. It was a huge pain getting it out, taking about 3 or 4 days to finally take out, most of our time went to getting everything attached to the transmission off.

When we got it off we had to wait about a week or so. We couldnt work on it durring the week (Sunday-Thursday) since my step-dad had to work from 1pm-9pm and I had school. I couldn't really work on it by myself, since I dont know enough about cars to really do much.

This weekend we took the new one, and popped it in, wiggled it around in the compartment to get it lined up, and spent the three day job of putting everything back on...

The bolts werent extremely hard to get on, the hardest part was getting all the tubes (two of them in the front) back in there properly (we had ripped one and needed a new one). Then we had to put the exhaust system back on under the engine. Since the bolt that goes on only has about 2mm of movement, it made it extremely hard to get it on. (time consuming)

We got the transmission fully put in yesterday, today was spent getting the brakes to work, putting the air system back together and just doing misc. things.

Well, enough of me blabbering, here are the pictures of the finished job (as much as I could get at, kinda hard to photograph it fully put in :P )

Also, it idles beautifully now that we changed the spark plugs and distributor cap/rotor.

I am very very happy about this.

If anyone has any suggestions on where to put my NICO stickers, i would appreciate it. (The small window would be good if the MAXIMA logo wasnt there)
