Hi. Obviously new here. Just picked up an 85 720 that the previous owner did a complete top end rebuild. Only issue is timing is @ 6 degrees off and the housing is turned as far as it will go. Was told that the distributor runs off a gear on the oil pump and that pulling the pump and re-indexing it will give me the range of motion needed to properly time the distributor. Have had little to no luck finding an online manual. Need to know which way to rotate the oil pump shaft. Any help appreciated on this issue and with finding a manual. It is the Z24 carburated gas engine.
