Howdy.
I have a 85' 720 with a Z24 5spd. The engine is getting a little tired. I know I can rebuild this engine but I'd like to put something in with a bit more power. Can I do this with a straight KA24DE engine and Tranny swap? I've looked for threads that cover this subject but I can't seem to find them. Also, are there seats that make a good replacement for my ragged ole bucket seats? Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about the seats, other than you could get them reupholstered, but in addition to the engine, you'll also need a new wiring harness and ECU to go along with it.

I believe it's comes with it all. Engine, tranny, ECU and wiring harness. Not sure if you know but I live in California. Am I allowed to do this?

I'm not sure what california's laws are about engine swaps. Sorry.
I thought as long as it was from a newer version of the same vehicle, you could do it, but again, don't quote me on that.
