Just got my son a 85 720 4X4 for his first veh and are doing a lot of repairs. Next on list is head gasket but what i need help with is it needs a new in cab harness due to multiple splices and mice getting to it. Any suggestions on where to get a good harness without breaking the bank would help, Thanks. These forums have already helped so much in the 15 min ive been on.

Welcome aboard!

If I were looking for a 720 body harness, I think I'd be checking junkyards. Hopefully, someone here will be parting out a truck, but as with yours, there's always the possibility that whatever you buy is going to have the same issues.

An alternative is to go with one of the knock-offs of the Painless harness. I've got one in 2 of my classic Datsuns, and they're not at all hard to install. Cleaner, better voltage transmission, and modern fuses... can't go wrong. You can usually find them on ebay for under $100.

That's actually probably a little more than he needs, but if you go through and count all the circuits (fuses) on the 720, you might be able to get away with an 8-circuit unit.
