85 300zx Turbo blinkers don't work!

The blinkers won't work on my 300zx. The hazards will work on the right side and sometimes on both. Any ideas? I think it is the flasher but I have no idea where it is.

if the flasher goes then the hazards won't work either, I have a look at the stalk and the chassis grounds

I will check the ground but where should I look? any ideas?

there si one ground in the rear in the back passanger corner (IIRC) just pull the panles and trim out and follow the wire harness, up front I can'tremember which side the ground is on, but I believe it's on a rame rail (IIRC) sorry but so many car I have a ahrd time remembering the details on each

the easiest thing to do is to locate the ground wire leading to the non functioning light and run a good new ground to it, if this fixes the problem then youfound the problem, if it blows a fuse you hooked to the positive

has anythign changed lately? a lot of times people put in aftermarket stereo's and groudn to the illumination circuit causing all sorts of drama

My car has the factory stereo installed and I did find something new last night while I was working on it. I put the key into the ignition and turn it to "on" and the dome light, door lights and stereo clock do not come on., but if I turn the antenna switch on and the stereo on then the lights work. If I turn any of the two off the lights go out! Also when the stereo is on and the antenna is on the blinkers still don't work. I looked in the FSM and there are 2 relays, one for the blinkers and one for the hazards. I am going to dig into it more in a couple of days. First I have to put a new water pump and new hoses in it first. Thank you for your help!

Ok here is the update. So far I have replaced the water pump, belts, coolant hoses, rad cap, dist cap, rotor, fuel pump, fuel filter, and some vaccume lines.

And the blinkers now work. It turned out that the switch just needed to be used! Now all I have to do Is figure out what is wrong with the interior lights...

As it turns out the problem was that a fuse was missing from the fuse block.... Thanks for all of the replies!
