don't forget about your friendly neiborhood junkyard if you NEEED one, but always check the U joints before you rely on it indefinatly

I know it's an old thread and all, but just to verify, you cannot replace the u-joints on the z31 driveshaft, correct? I've searched with no avail. according to the mechanic I just took my car too, my driveshaft is about to fall out so... I just wanna make sure a driveshaft is the only (and cheapest) way to go.. thanks for the help..

btw, I have a 85 300zx coupe, 5 speed... I've gotta do the master cylinder, u-joints (driveshaft), and steering rack... any recommendations on brands?

if youtake it to a driveshaft shop they can rebuild it, the U-Joints are pressed it they can still be replaced by someone who works on driveshafts, you might try diesel parts and machine shops, thats where I have my shafts done
