85 300ZX A/C not working, Cruise not working ..Vaccuum problem?

Have a 300 2+2 tt that constantly blows hot air..Live in GA and need the coolness. Cruise also doesn't work now. I have been told it could be a vaccuum problem..I am a novice mechanic but would like to learn

yup sounds like the vac lines are the place to start, there si a vac line that comes throught he firewall near the batter (might be 2 memorey isn't so good), anyhow make sure it's got a good connection underhood and not cracked, under the dash on the drivers side above the trans tunnel there si a bank of valves and hoses, amke sure they are all in good shape, hook a vac pump to each diaphram to see it it holds vacume, if oe won't hold vacume you need a new diaphram, pretty common problem, on my car just pulling extra vacume wiht the vac pump broke a stuck piston free and got the hot air to stop
