first of all welcome to NICO

second, lower case please, the caps thing is considered rude

third, the Z31 uses an intank pump if I recall correctly, and it depende on the ecu sending the signal to the fuel pump relay to turn the power on at the pump so that would imply that you have a faulty ground? or a dead pump? are you sure your measuring voltage at the right point? fuel pump and sender all in one assy aren't they?

also you said that it isn't pumping any fuel, do you have a fuel line off? or a feul pressure gauge in line? I'd like to know how you determined that it's not pumping sometimes we assume it's one problem when it's really another

The Z31 uses a ground signal to control the pump. With the ignition on you will have + voltage but check the - wire to the pump. It is controlled by the fuel pump relay in the pass quater panel behind the pass seat. The connector for the pump is in the back hatch on the floor beside the spare tire well. The Z31 has a pump controller so it pulses when ignition is on for about 3 to 5 seconds and doesnot inguage again unless the car is turning over or running.

i had a guy look at my z today he jumped a ground wire to a screw in the trunk and the pump started checked the ecu under kick panel on pass side and the lights in the display window are not lit up would that mean that the ecu is not working and sorry about the caps thing

no lights means no codes, sounds like you got it running but havn't found the real cause, if it's a switched ground it could still wel be a bad relay, should be pretty easy to check

You have three fusible links to the ecu that need to be checked if you are not getting power and also you need to check your grounds. If you do not have any electrical back ground it will be hard for anyone to tell you how to fix it. I would first check the power to the ecu, second check fusible links, third check grounds. You said your lights don't come on? Do you mean dash lights? You need to be really specific with all the information you can give. I wish you the best in fixing your z.
