Hi, I'm looking into replacing my Z24 motor with a CA18DET motor. I can get most everything I need through JDM, here's a link. http://www.japanmotorimport.co...89-92

I mostly need to know if anyone has done it and if so how hard is it to do.I've been told that a KA24de would be an easier swap but I can't find everything for reasonable price's.

Thanks for any help

You know times are changing when you can't find a cheap KA24.

Yeah but the CA18DET gives a little more power and it comes with everything that I'll need. I just want to know if anyone has done the swap before or if they know anything about doing it. Such as if there is an easy way to do the motor mounts I've heard of using mounts from other motors but I don't know if there are any that would work.

Take out the Zmotor.

Clean up the bay.

Lower the CA in and see how it lines up, and don't for get the oil pans from cars are usually front sump and truck are usually rear sump. so maybe needs just mounts and a pan modification.

Installing a Z18ET and the chassis is in the way of the down pipe. You will need to check that also. Definitely the sump. More than likely you will have to cut the sump.
