84 300ZX Manual Trans fluid

I was told it would be a good thing if I change my 84 300ZX manual 5-speed trans gear oil to Royal Purple Synthetic 75W-90 Gear oil. I don't know when it was last changed so I imagine it's a good idea, I heard that some syn oils can cause seals to leak...any input on all of this? Thanks

I run full synthetic fluids in all my cars and havn't caused any to leak yet, some people think taking pictures will steal their sole

You should be fine going to synthetic, I have in several older cars without any problems.
