84 200sx Voltage Regulator

Can someone tell me where they hide the voltage regulator in the 84 200sx. I bought a new one and can't find that little rascal.

your car is the other 200sx the predisesor to the 240sx. I believe it is near the battery on the inner fender well, but not 100% havent opened the hood on one of those in a while. I am gonna copy this to the other 200sx forum as well to get maybe better exposure.

I am assuming this is inside a box or something of that nature. It is a small silver rectange with tabs on the short sides for screws and 4 pins sticking out from the back.

sounds to me like an internal altenator voltage regulator.

what is it for? alternator, temp/fuel gauges, something else?
