83 nissan 720 2wd compatibility help please

I have an 83 nissan 720 standard 5spd regular cab datsun 2.4l z24 with a single piece driveshaft....my question is what trans can I swap in as my trans gave up the ghost...it's a long tail end with a single shaft..would a hardbody with a z24 or ka24 fit?? What about an extra cab hardbody with a z24??? Tried finding other 720 transmissions here but they're rare in Hawaii...mostly ka24 or z24 hard body's especially extra cab...please let me know if any will work with the 83 as my options are limited and my time is running out
