I recently wanted to tint my car window last weekend, but ran into a bit of a problem. The hatch window on my car has a business vinyl graphic on the outside, which means that the shop I took it to wasn't able to tint the rear window because they could not mold the tint. I wasn't too sure how the process worked until I had it explained to me today. The tint is laid on the outside of the rear window and then molded with a heat gun to be able to fit to curvature of the window properly; this means that the vinyl graphic and tint would get damaged with the heat from the heat gun. The guy at a different shop said he could do it in one of 2 ways:

1) Cut the tint into sections and lay it on in four long horizontal pieces.2) Use another untinted 240SX hatch to mold the tint with and then transfer/install it in mine.

So, I am hoping someone on hear can meet me at the tint shop in San Fernando (Foothill and Vaughn) with an UNTINTED 240SX Hatchback and allow the guy to mold the tint on their car. The guy said the mold process takes about 30 mins. I'll pay for the person's gas. Please let me know ASAP as I am hoping to get it done this weekend (Saturday; between 10am-6pm).

Thanks in advance!

When they apply the tint to the window on the inside after it is cut---they usually use a torch on the outside of the glass to dry it on the inside. Plus those heater wire lines usually can't be used after that.
