I searched the Q45 forums a little for any info on these with no luck. (810cc injectors) I shot Mike at Deatshwerks an e-mail a few months back about getting them, he only said that I will need the adapter to use the bigger fuel injectors on my 94. I now have the money for the upgrade and was not sure if anybody had purchased these, or happen to have them on their car? I do have the NICO ECU(switcher) and did not know if that would pose a problem at all.

Are you building a monster turbo engine?

If not, you don't need them. On the stock cams, it probably wouldn't idle very well.

Deatshwerks offers them in 370, 450, 550, 650, 740 and 810cc. Would anyone (Q45tech?) know about where it becomes just too much over-kill. I need to buy 3 replacement injectors anyway because about 2 years ago I replaced 3 injectors with E-bay injectors (lesson learned) and now 2 of those 3 are bad again, and I figure the 3rd won't be soon to follow. I figured it would be easier to buy 8 new, rather than 3 and just sending the other 5 back to be matched, and flow tested.

Unless you are running 30 psi of boost you do not need anything close to an 810cc injector. Thats a lotta gas man.

810cc x 8 =1000 HP

30 psi x 6.8% = 204% more. The question is how efficient the intercooler as 30psi might increase the raw temperature to 408F @ 75F inlet

You might have trouble exceeding 750 HP @6600 rpm so smaller cc might be in order

Use this spreadsheet to figure out the answers:http://www.gnttype.org/techare...s.xls

You do realize that the ECU will have to be retuned COMPLETELY in order to use the larger injectors...

For stock configuration, the 370cc injectors are about 20% over required maximum performance capacity.

Remember, this is no cheap azz SBC.

I run 860cc's on my old school VG30E. Your VH45 should be able to idle just fine using 810cc injectors. This is of course assuming you can control them and turn down your minimum turn on time. Typically if an injector has to fire lower than 1.2 milliseconds or so... it cant do it due to the injector recovery time. If you have to turn it down that far the injector will cease to open at all.

I some how feel that this is beyond the scope of this thread though. Meaning it is really not relative. For you ILuvNkdChx, it is most likely to much for the simple fact that you have no way of controlling the pulse.
