8000 rpm?

8000 rpm?
a couple days ago i was driving about 90 on the highway when my gear went from drive to second. it said 8000 rpm on the tach and i let go off the gas, i pulled over to check if the motor was fine and it was. i just wanted to know if anything was damaged because of the 8000 rpm. please reply

no. everything sounds and seems fine. the idle is 700 and stable.

Then don't worry about it.
If you started to have problems, then you caused damage.

rite!!! if u hear any strange noises its not okay....if ur still worry about it just inspect the car more.
