Wow, she's owned the car for 42 years and it's been her daily driver ever since she bought it. Talk about getting your moneys worth out of a vehicle!

I love how she says "It's all maintenance." Truer words have never been spoken. :bigthumb:

There's lots of machines built in 1950, 1920, 1900, that are all still working because they are maintained. Why should our cars be any different?

I completely agree, although I get an itch for a newer car every so often, my dad taught me growing up that "Mileage doesn't matter, as long as a vehicle is properly maintained" and "It's cheaper to fix what you have, than to replace it with a car payment". My car has
145k on it and is still going strong, even though i'd like to replace it with something newer, it's paid for and still looks and runs great.

This car has 1,000,000 miles on it.... The white is a counter per mile, to roll over the black end one next to it. So it really reads 999,999.

lolwut? 800,000?

The only ford in existance to ever be built correctly folks!

If you paid attention to the video, it's 99,999(9), not 999,999(9), there are only 5 black counters and one white one. So each time it rolls over is 100,000 miles, not 1,000,000 miles... :slap:

They explain it is rolling over for the eighth time in the video as well. I highly doubt that it has 8,000,000 miles on it :poke:

My car has a limp-home mode that runs the motor on half its cylinders while its overheating, in case of morons who insist on driving home while their aluminum V8 engines are melting.

Today's driver deserves nothing more than a bus pass. Even a donkey has to be maintained.

I've always thought the white clicker was another number towards the mileage. I didn't hear her say the 'eighth' time.

I lived in Hardin county. Don't hate on me.

No worries then, simple mistake ;) I thought it was 1,00,000 the first time I watched it too, but due to some cars having an extra digit on the odometer.

I lived in ATL yo, haters gonna hate. I lived in South Atlanta(McDonough and Hampton) all of my life until 3 years ago actually.

Heh. My dad is military and was stationed at Ft. Knox. Hung out in Radcliff/Etown for a long time. I live in Acworth. About 5 mins from Kennesaw.

I love hatin' too. KY used to be really nice. It was 70-75 all the time with a cool breeze. And everything tasted like blueberries.

Yeah the wife's dad is in the military and works for the federal government too, so they've been all over. Actually they're fixing to move to DC, he just got a job a the Pentagon.

I love Kentucky, we like the area a lot and the weather rocks compared to GA. Plus I have a 10min commute to the office and the wife has a 1/4 mile commute. I don't miss GA at all, traffic sucks, commutes typically suck, and I lived there for 26 years. If we ever move back there I want to live on the north side though.

It's obvious wherever this lady lives, they don't use road salt in the winter on the roads. Corrosion from road salt is number 1 killer of cars up here.
