80 datsun 720 stpk fuel pump prob?

So just yesterday I started my car and let it warm up like normal. Drove half a block to a light and couldn't get over a little hill with lack of power. Car stayed with lack of power for a few until i turned it off. Came back to it hour later and it worked fine. Later that night almost the same thing happened. Started up, warmed up, but this time it died as soon as i let off the gas. Could start the car but had to keep pedal to the floor to keep it alive (not drivable atm). I let it sit for about 20 min and it worked again. Is this my fuel pump going out or what? Please and Thank yous

There is a section just for Datsun pickups, and subsections for the different models. I remember reading about a thermal vacuum valve that can be deleted, but I'm not sure if that is it or not, I think that was on a naps-z motor iirc.
