i got an 80 280z with 185k on the engine. just put it on the road and the oil pressure gauge dropped to the ground i looked in the engine and thier was oil leaking from the passenger side down near the oil filter. i don't think its comming from the oil filter but i could have actually gotten the wrong one. wich oil filter goes on these cars or if its a common problem how do i fix it?

it takes the largest nissan oil filter. very similar to the (ph1???) filter used on fords. it may also be your oil sender leaking. clean it off bring your oil level up to safe area and fire it up..look and try to isolate exactly where its coming from.

i found the leak. it took 3 people and about 7 quarts of oil to find this stupid leak

we had to take off the "fuel injector fan thing"? it was the oil cooler lines they were both broken.

but now i have a funny sound in the back end. when i take a right corner it grinds like something is broken. is thier a set of berrings back thier that could have gone bad

Check the dust shields rubbing against the brake rotors.
