I have come to learn that the sohc motor had 2 different compressions in its 2 years. I cant find the info though, I tried to search. Anyway I currently have the one with the air temp sensor, meaning the 8.6 compression pistons. My question being, can I find and swap in the 9.1 pistons gaining the compression differences, and since they made the same power with the different compressions, higher comp would mean more power.

Possible? Just curious.

Besides that....Whether that would work or not. On our motors if you theoretically did raise the compression by half a point like above, what would be your net gain(theoretical)

Not enough to justify the work to do it...if your doing that its really best to do at least a simple rebuild on the motor.

Well yea, if I had it apart, I would reuild it. Nevertheless, that is a good increase in compression of you were going to go NA KA. Am I right. I think it would be worth it in the long run. I believe they would have to fit. They are probably just different pistons. I wonder What would your gains be though.
