79k, bad o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2

Just in case anyone wanted to know what the CEL coming on at around 80k might mean...I had mine pulled by Autzone, and Jiffy Lube, and they both read bad o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 2. Mine is driver's side after the cat.

So 2 days out of my used car warranty I have a $114 repair. Figures! Anyone tried one of those universal o2 sensors that you have to wire in?

Best to call http://www.sparkplugs.com and get the NTK one. The website listings were in error last time I visited. Let them know you are from NICO.

this is only for spark plugs, right? I don't see any o2 sensors on that site.

So, what is it that we do post in the q45 section? Just nothing technical? Pictures of rims and such?

There are both knockc sensors and o2 sensors on that site as well. AFter you get through the vehicle menu selections there's a drop down menu labeled "Product Search" on the middle/upper left hand side.

This section is more for "General" Q45 discussions which may include issues you're having with your Q, but specific discussion of repair and diagnosis is better served in the Inf Online Mech sub-forum.

I tend to agree, you may get really lucky, but it will be back and id just have them on hand.

FWIW, I got my Q at 76k on the Odo, I had to replace both secondary O2 sensors about 2 months after I got the car. Seems like around 80k they go out.
