79 620 L28 SWAP

im intrested in putting my 76 280z L28 in my 79 datsun 620. can i do this without modifing the motor mounting points on the frame. if you have any info on this swap i would appreciate your imput

The 6cyl.engine is too long for the engine bay.We ran one in a 620 drag truck.It does bolt in but no radiator.The weight transfer was horrible.Get a nissan motorsports catalog.Most of the best L engine parts are in it.Also google L monster motors.That LZ24 sounds wicked.

thanks, i know ive seen a pic of one on the internet,looked cramed. i just put a L18 in that ive rebuilt with some motorsports parts and ive got a bottom end knock. so im just a little discouraged with this engine. but it looks like im gona pull it back out and put a crank and bearing set in it.
