I've searched on zcar.com and I've read only 17 pages out of 250 -.- The problem is my headlights went out one night. Just completely dead with no highbeam but I still have citylight. I took out the combo switch( right behind the steering wheel) and sprayed it down with electronic cleaner and soldered some connections just in case. All the wires are tightly connected and still no light. I even sprayed down the fuse box and changed all the fuses just to make sure. @ things I noticed were that the previous owner use 30A fuses for all and the top right fuse was hot when I replaced it.

are you getting voltage into the switch? have you opened the switch and cleaned the contacts? I'm not sure what the top right fuse is on the 78, but start unplugging things on that circuit, and as stupid as it sounds, I'e ad issues form the horn, and wipers, the wipers cleared up after I upgraded to an internally regulated alternator

you might also check your fusible links, My old 260 did that one night, just blink, no headlights, but I had hazard lights still which was confusing. turned out I blew a fusable link.

I converted it to MaxiFuse few months ago because those fusible links drove me insane. There are voltage to the switch and running lights are on but not headlight or high beam. I took it off, sanded it down and sprayed it with electronic cleaner. The top right fuse is parking light...I have no idea why it's hot now. What I noticed was that when I accidentally touched the top two fuses together (headlamp and parking light) the lights came back on. Could it be bad connection on the fusebox itself? If so how do you fix it without throwing down $170 for one from MSA.

could be a bad fuse panel, thats why MSA sells the replacements, you could get a universal and wire it in but at that point I think it'd be easier to rewire the car and fix all the backwards wiring the factory did
