Very nice find. I'd be up for the idea with significant safety testing.

It sucks that we're so afraid of nuclear technology...It would put a huge dent in our oil dependence if we had more nuclear power plants.

It would be interesting if every car had a small nuclear engine instead of gas!

So if we start putting uranium in our cars... what will happen when we hit 88.8 mph? Do we have to short out the flux capacitor to ensure we don't travel back to the future?

Would we be able to achieve a similar fuel milage if we could harness the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity from a lightening bolt on the old clock tower at city hall?

There certainly is a Taboo that surrounds the word nuclear that I believe shys people away from it as a power source. My older cousin (a Phd in Nuclear engineering and Mechanical engineering) had a long talk with me about how nuclear power is becoming much more effecient and safe. Very interesting stuff. Talk about getting lost in a conversation I was up to my neck in words I think he just started making up

Good concept though for sure RN, I may shoot him an email link to this and see what he says.
