I've got a 76 B210, and I've so far replaced the distributor cap, battery, and the alternator. Right now I believe I'm having carb troubles. It starts up, needs to be reved initially to keep it started. After that the idle seems off, I've adjusted the idle screw with little impovement. Also, when I get it running, and start to give it the gas to get it moving (usually in 3rd and 4th) it sputters. I've been told that it might be a mixture problem, so I've adjusted the mixture screw, and that seemed to help a little. I started it yesterday, and noticed I was getting really thick exhaust, I use 91 octane, so should I continue to do so, or use a lower grade fuel? Is my mixture perhaps to rich? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks!
Mikey

i dont recall datsun 210's using 91 octance rated fuel. you should probly go for the lowest octane avalable, its also alot cheaper ya know.

They were notorious for the choke sticking - take it off and put a manual choke on it. Not only will your gas mileage go up this problem will go away.
