My guess is the short will be somewhere in your alternator/starter harness. Those would be the 2 things drawing the most current.

yea i did the 5 speed swap not too long ago .. and about a week ago i blew my head gasket so i replaced it and when i tried turnin the car on it blew the 75a fuse well not right away i gave it a couple of cranks before it blew .. so now only the dang headlights turn on nothin else .. hopefully thats why the car wont start ..

Check to make sure all of your grounds aren't loose. Especially to alternator. I blew my 75a fuse likke 3 times in a row because of that.

Check the transmission harness goint to the stater and alternator I blew the same fuse several times once cause i did not tighten the nut all the way on the back of the alternator and it would pop that 17 dollar fuse everytime i hit a bump
