my 75 amp alt fuse keeps blowing when i connect the battery, my grounds are good and as far as i can see the harness is ok. what is this i dont even

check the harness again really well. the connections on the alt also. somewhere a hot wire is goin to ground

Its the fuse for your alternator if its blown your battery wont charge

if you changed your alternator recently, you may have put the wires on backwards, thats why its grounding out! thats what happened to me before.

you mean mixing up the two wires that you torque onto the alternator?

Sometimes people will bolt the battery + wire to where the ground wire is supposed to go .

Have you checked the battery + terminal on the alternator? I have seen where the nut loosens up and the wire arcs and melts the plastic insulator.

yea, everything is tight and nothing is melted

You might want to remove the B+ wire from the alternator and see what happens.I can't remember seeing an alternator short out but it is possible.
