75 amp alternator fuse & holder melted HELP!

I have a 1990 240sx SR20. I never had this problem i havent started my car in a while and the battery was dead. I have a Optima battery located in the trunk car wouldnt start so put the 200engine start on it stillno firewould this cause my alt fuse and the holder to melt down i mean really bad? i am gonna go over all my wiring i did find a bear ground wire and also a thin brown wire that was hooked to starter. Where would i fine the alt fuse holder for inside the fuse box. any in put nwould be great!
