Dang that sux! When I first got my '95 240, my car payment was $253 a month, but my insurance was $275 a month (full coverage). I called several insurance companies and some of them won't even insure a 240. They said the parts cost too much to repair it. Cheapest I found was progressive. I've been with them for almost 4 years.

honestly i'd say $732 a month for insurance is a bit crazy there unless say you had a supra or skyline then maybe. myself I only pay about $120 for full coverage and next year it'll be about $50 for full since I'll have 5 years experience legally by then. Go look for another insurance company

I paid 229/month for full coverage on my cougar. Also pay 100/month for my 240sx on liability. That is through progressive. I also have 5 tickets and have sr22 insurance.

Currently, for my 97 240 and my 89 Probe GT I pay $180 a month, but this is for high risk insurance, so I assume you can find a lower price. I recently just switched to Progressive as they had the lowest rate I could live with.

Wow, man, I think you're getting screwed. I pay less than that every six months; around 1400 per year with full coverage through State Farm. You should definately check agencies places out.

Word!

I'm paying $56 now for just PIP, Liability, & UIM. Used to be $85 for both S13 & S14.

holy smokes.. $732 a month for insurance?

you might as well just ride a bike.

ok joking aside.. with you my friend having 3 points and 2 yrs of driving experience won't help much there buddy.. see if your parents can add you onto their current "family" auto insurance program. That might cut you some slack..

I pay $205/month with Liberty Mutual, I had been paying $290/month with Geico.

I saved money on my car insurance on switching FROM Geico, lol.

I can't wait until I turn 25 and it drops through the floor.

I pay $45 a month for full coverage on my 90 S13 with Farmers Insurance (expensive company).

That's the reward for 9-13 years driving experience, no claims filed, and no points on my driving record.

Back when I turned 25, my insurance rate dropped 50%.

In the NY-NJ area insurance companies like to rape you for some particular reason. I used to pay $3900 a year for my '94 Maxima and that was me being 18 and having an accident on record. Now I simply put the S13 under my father's insurance without me being cited on it and I'm paying $560 for 6 months. All I have to do is.... nothing stupid :-)And talking about Progressive: while it might be the cheapest insurance company around, they are the worst ****ing people that you can deal with. I had my accident with my mom's '99 Maxima and the a-holes raised our premium by 147% (yes I calculated it). In addition they wanted us to use cheap imitation parts from their own suppliers instead of OEM and wanted all the labor done at one of their own shops. I went to a couple of them and did not like the quality of the paint job in one while the other one was falling apart. Just my $.02 you get what you pay for....

And since you are bound to ask:The accident was not my fault. I was doing 37mph in a 45 zone while this lady slammed on the brakes with her Dodge Neon in the middle of the freaking road because she suddenly decided that she needed to get breakfast at McDonald's. I couldn't brake on time so I tried to avoid her when I realized there was a child seat in the passenger rear. Also this happened right by a BMW dealer and the right side of the road opens up and is literally paved with new Beemers. So I envisioned the bill and the damages from destroying 3 new 740's and I managed to just scrape her rear right bumper and take out a tailight cover. The cop showed up and was literally astonished that I managed not to go right through her rear bumper and gave me props. Also the lady happened to be speaking on her cell phone while driving and making the turn. Then the insurance companies discussed it and decided that it was my fault because I hit her from behind and I was 18, while she was 22 and had a child in the rear so she was likely to drive recklessly. No matter she was talking on the phone and left skid marks on the road from her brake. So there. That was my accident.
