I got this 720 and wanted to paint it white...but then i saw these beautiful red rims with black lip for sale and thought the would look badass with a flat black paint job or just tht glossy black...should i go white or black?

depends on how you do it.... i have one of the more expensive flat/satin black paints that we custom blended and painted in a real booth with all the tools etc....

it goes all the way down to spray cans that you pick up at the auto store

NOTHING i got hookups!!!

but.... i think in supplies, booth time, labor etc... it would have been about $2,000-$2,500

you can buy a fair bit for the engine... an overhaul with a new carb and exhaust would be a good choice

There is a difference in flat and satin. Don't use flat, it doesn't last for s*** and every time you touch it it leaves marks on the paint.

I shot my truck with some cheap satin black (equivalent to Rustoleum) since I'm never going to put real automotive paint on it. Even doing that with a cheap HVLP gun looks a ton better than spray cans. My other car was spray bombed in flat black and I'm having to strip all of it off so that real paint won't wrinkle it up.

carbs? or exhaust?

for carbs just go to http://www.webercarbsdirect.com and for exhaust choose a muffler and take it to a trusty exhaust shop and have a custom system welded up... you can go catless or get a high flow cat from magnaflow... and get headers from either pacesetter or thorley

the 32/36 is basically a great replacement... it'll give you better performance than stock... and its made so that the 32 bore is used when doing things like city driving and the 36 isn't used until you actually get on it... so you'll have slightly better performance when you're on it for sure

the 38 is the one i just got... both barrels are obviously 38 bore... and they open at the same time all the time... which means say goodbye to gas mileage all together... but it'll bump performance a lot

nope... simple conversion kits are listed on that site as well

the getting it running right part is a matter of tuning the carb

depends on what you want to do with it... if it will be primarily your daily driver... the 32/36 will be perfect... if you plan on using for track use at some point then the 38 will give you better throttle response and more power... but once again no gas mileage

Just ask around to see who had spray guns and make friends with them

then all you gotta do is pay for the materials. ( if you got a place to spray )

ive taken collision repair class's in high school. Ive learned that black is a realy nice color but if the body isnt stright it will show. Flat and stain paint will hide some imprefections but not all. if you not looking for a show quailty paint job i would go with enamel paint that doesnt require a clear. the cleapest paint ive come across is paintforcars.com
