Nice. Yeah I feel bad for people who leave tools in the junkyard.

Rad is in. Verts doing good. Gotta start driving it and work out the kinks now. Can't wait to start doing some real work. Gotta get some momentum going and get the truck going.

Was talking to a buddy and he said to try and use emry paper to smooth out any rough spots on the crank and just throw new bearings in. That would save me having to pull the trans and stuff.

:wtf2: Its not as easy as that to polish the crank with emery paper. I've tried to and almost did more damage than could be repaired by machine grinding. You can't use your hand because of its unevenness and you have to know how many turns of string to put over the emery to be able to cover the entire lobe. Be very careful when attempting the polishing.

figured as much. hopefully when i get into it there wont be any significant damage. my buddy got the knock right after swapping trans so he didnt beat it. just a real rough long block.

on a better note, progress is being made on the vert. hoping to have it road ready this week. yay for time.

loose flywheel? It should be torqued to 110-116 ft/lbs of torque. how does that happen?

so no spun bearing?

yeah looks to be okay.

and loose flywheel bolts comes from lack of locktite and lack of torque wrench.

the woes of garage mechanics.
