My fuel pump is working about 90% of the time. I replaced the Pump 367 days ago, and before anyone says the relay, The relay is bypassed, and the pump is on a toggle switch. It will stop and not start up for an hour or so, then it fires right up and runs for a few weeks. I'm guessing the pump is going out again, and I already have a replacement, but I would like to hook up the original wiring and take it off the toggle switch. I know the relay is useless right now because I can take it out and it has no effect on the way the truck runs. I went to hook up the original wires yesterday, and there is a Purple/white wire back there that is completely rotted. There are only 2 wires 1 is pu/W, and 1 is Br, that power the fuel pump. I'm wondering if anyone knows where the other end of these wires go? I suppose I can cut the rubber and trace them all the way back, just worried about cutting something else. I've got a chiltons, but.. I can't seems to find the pu/W, and Br 2 prong connector that powers the fuel pump. I was hoping someone had a FSM and could help me out, 85 Nissan 720 z2.4 2-wheel drive. thanks for any help offered.
