Nice and neat. No over revving. Top of the line, keep it up. Can't wait to see one with the RB. :dblthumb:

Yeeeah!!! Cant wait for june when the skyline arrives, right now i just got a VW T4 bus project going on(thats gonna carry the drift datsun around :P) that i gotta finish first :)

I think its gonna be a really fun car :P i dont know if it will work for serius drifting, we'll see :) otherwise just a fun car :P

For exhaust im gonna go i little bit off the "jspec" style and use 2 patriot 150cm sidepipes and mount them vertically like bull haulers or trucker pipes... depending on how it sounds maybe i'll change it to a greddy titanium.. :)

:D It cant go that wide unfortunatly because its so low in the front, the tyres hit the inder and outer fender, so i cant put him so wide without him saying all kind of fun noises :P You can hear it a few times when inside the car... :P

But im looking really forward to making it with an 25... i saw a couple of 720 in here with rb26 inside then and from what i could understand 4wd... And they looket very nice and everything, this is just a pure drifting projekt, and i will just stay black matt, nothing fancy beside the engine compartment wich is gonna shine i hope with a greddy TD06 turbo top mountet and a greddy plenum :)

Helped my brother with a RB20DET in his king cab. It was wicked quick and beat a lot of cars drag racing. Never did a time trial but beat some cars that did bracket racing. Suspension would be key for drifting, can't be too low and the rear needs to be firm.

Looks like a ton of fun! Had over a foot drop here the other day and had to hit the pullout at the top of the mountain and do donuts. I can't wait to do a motor swap in my rig, just can't figure out which motor to do. Probably the first good H/O 4/6 cyl I get my hands on lol. Good luck with the swap, and definitely post up more vids of drifting "after".

Its so funny :) it actually has a great balance the little truck :) Go with a 6 cylinder, sounds so much better...

Took us 4 months to complete the install as we were doing the project after work and another 2 months to dial it in. And thats with no serious mods.

Awesome... I have NO experirence with this what so ever, i mostly do speaker and fibreglass work... So my welding isnt that well, but ill have a guys come over to weld up engine mounts and some suspension... I only welded up some subwoofer support in the past and done some rust and bodywork... Wasnt that pretty, but the datsun will let me try, if its hell im just gonna have to pay my way out of it :)

Did you have to remove any of the firewall and did you guys use the datsun diff and prop? and please :P Some pictures.. Building pictures :D

Pictures at that time, thats a laugh. Nah. In those days we didn't consider taking pics.

Yeah, there is a lot of cutting to do. We did not drop the cross member, so for the engine to get in the engine bay we removed the radiator panel, the fire wall was cut and the transmission tunnel was cut up to just after the gear lever. The starter would be pretty close to the clutch pedal and if its a long box the gear lever would be about 4 inches further back than its supposed to be. You will also have to custom fab transmission mounts, fuel tank and instrument panel, but its worth it. :naughty: We did not do any suspension work, just adjusted the torsion bars to keep it level.
