Hi,I currently drive a VW Jetta TDT 50 miles each way to work. It is about 20 mi stop & go then 30 on the interstate @ 75MPH. I like the diesel reliability & MPG however...I really could use a truck & found a nice 81 720 diesel. Can anyone tell me how this would do on the interstate @ 75 MPH? I hear they are loud & this might bit a bit fast (high rpm) at highway speeds.

Does anyone commute in one of these? I would appreciate your feedback.

FYI - Truck is a KC 5 speed 164K mi.

i don't know a whole lot about the diesels but as far as the the high rpm... as long as the truck is in good shape 75 is no problem at all

good luck and welcome!

MY 82 without carpet but with a/c is LOUD. hoping a carpet kit will quiet it some but 75 MPH no problem at all, running almost 30mpg around town and some interstate.
