I urge everyone to write to their local representative to sign this piece of legislation which would require all non-emergency legislation to be posted online, in final form, for at least 72 hours prior to a floor vote. With dems. getting nervous about losing health care reform support, they are trying to push it through without giving everyone a chance to read the bill in its entirety. Do the right thing...

"I was told when I was young that if someone wants to sell you something they don't want you to see first then it's not something you really want.."

They don't want us to know that they have plans for us (The working class tax payer) to pay for the lazy and the illegal in this country. The reason the healthcare bill will not hit us till 2013 is he's wanting us to reelect him and if this passes before 2012 and we see how bad this is, he wouldn't get elected to run a men's bathroom at a truck stop.

I don't mind paying my $200.00 a month for healthcare. I don't want to pay that plus another grand to the gov...

Personally I don't want the gov. involved in my healthcare or anything else for that matter. They are involved in too much and also gov. has grown to be too large. Think about it, how much is each czar getting paid? That money can be used for other things. How much $$ has the prez sent/given to overseas groups or even here in the states that will do nothing to help the situation of our country. He's flat out paying back or lining the pockets of his buddies for help of some sort. This prez. has no interest in resurrecting this country to what it was, I'm thinking his plan is to make this country fail 100% then re grow it to 3rd world status where all Americans are reliant on the gov. for everything. We are in the beginning stages of completely losing out country to the nuts.pallnetThere are "left wing nuts" and "right wing nuts", being right always works better.

No, it needs to be 72 hours period. If you say "emergency legislation" everything will be emergency.

Obama already promised to make a website where we could read the bills before he voted on them but we all know he's a liar.

Short and sweet but to the point, I couldn't agree with you more. He led a campaign of lies. The end of his term can't come soon enough. If he lands another term then my guess is most of American will not like that very much. When you have all of the illegal’s, mythical characters and dead people voting for you and not to mention Acorn resubmitting votes over and over again, you're bound to win anything you're running for..

On another noteNotice that there are so many people wanting to go socialized Gov.? The same people grew up free and have no plans of moving to one of the many dictator run countries on this planet. I honestly think they are pushing for something they have no real understanding of.

If every free loving American family offered to help a socially driven family here in America then I'm sure within a few months we could bring our old America back. When I say "help" I'm offering to pull $$ from my savings to pay for up to 5 one way plane tickets to any dictator run country in the world with the condition that they lose their American citizenship and can't return for any reason what so ever. This should be a bill and in that bill they can add in removing all illegal’s form the US and closing the borders till America is on it's feet again.

BTW, It shouldn't be so difficult for the American public to file a treason charge here in America......

Maybe this is just me.pallnet

Again, this is bull.

Nowhere in the bill does it say that they want to give illegal immigrants state-paid healthcare. This is a myth.

What it DOES say is that hospitals can't turn injured people down. This is a very sensible rule. Unfortunately, there is no easy way for hospitals to quickly and easily verify immigration status, so there's some fraction of injured people that will be illegal.

What we need is better identification/tracking of illegals. It's an immigration question, not a health care question. We need to have immigration status on drivers' licenses, etc.

Frankly, I think we should just go ahead and make them all legal residents, unless they have criminal backgrounds (we would ask for foreign ID and run a check with their home gov't). Make them legal and get them paying taxes and signing up for service.

With illegal immigrants, the problem is that they are illegal, not that they're immigrants. I won't go into why the whole "they take jobs" argument is bullshxt.

The thing is, they don't want to pay taxes, they want to live in America but not have to pay to be here. That's why they are illegal and haven't applied for citizenship. Telling them they have apply for citizenship and pay taxes is like telling them they can't sneak in the US. They are going to anyway.

I think the loophole to this one was that he's going to grant them all amnesty first. Then they won't be illegals. So we won't be giving healthcare to illegals. I'll have to find where I read this before I'll start arguing about it.
