72 Datsun KA swap

I am looking into doing a swap in my 510 .I would just like to know what KA is the best in stock forum.I know that the DE makes more power than a single ohc but what year DE is the best.Also can any help me out with some hp numbers.

Typically if you have a choice of engines you pick the latest year there is due to technological advances and the manufactures opportunity to fix any posing problems. But in the case of the 240 i dont think there were many things that nissan fixed engine wise during those periods. If there was anything big, someone please tell me. You're looking at 155 hp @ 5600rpm and 160 ft/lb torque @ 4400 rpm for 240s year '90-98. Btw... ever considered an SR20DET? haha, dont wanna start a war, just wondering.

I considered an SR20DET but I don't have the money,and I think the KA would would be okay,my L16 only has 64hp anyway.

hmm well the ka is a great Motor that hasn't gotten to much exposure, praise it or despise it its a pretty good motor. but, you must forgive 240sx..whatever that sn is, for the dates. It goes for the DOHC 91-98 which is the KA24DE which produces the above mentioned hp, torque.. hmm well i have no idea of what your means are for this project but, not to long ago i heard someone contemplating the Supercharged KAE.. which may very well meet your goals for this project if you want to keep in N/A KA24DE is your best bet. good luck w/ your project..

Edgar what shot are you running,and what bolt-ons do you have.Have you dyno yet if so what hp @ torque are you putting to the wheels thanks.

Yo bootman, lol. Where it says what we have under our names just tells how many post you have put. The more post you put the better titles you get. I have alot more than just intake and exhuast. If you notice your still a mamas boy
