'72 510 external voltage regulator

I need some help finding this part. I know it sounds simple, but for somereason my car has some freak voltage regulator in it. The one that I pulled out of the car is an FD Japan brand voltage regulator with only 4 prongs and a square plug. I've found tons of square plug external voltage regulators with 6 prongs, but none with 4. And all the auto parts places I've talked to keep telling me that they have never seen a 4 prong for a '72 510. Please help!!!Thank you,Brandon
