For what this is, the 30k buyout seems a bit steep. But still an interesting thing to see on ebay. Does anyone know anything about this car?

Also second question.. exactly how available are s20's? While my aspirations are to import and restore a GT-X, the idea of finding an S20 and all other parts needed to convert a regular 2000GT to a GT-R is intriguing. Especially since I doubt I'll ever be able to afford an original, what with them going for 50k+ these days.

hell they stuck a S20 in a very rare Datsun Z car as well in Japan but both the skyline and the Z are a pretty penny

that is why you normaly see the L-series motors in the skylines I have a old option magazine that shows 2 hakosuka's 1 has a NEO RB25 compleat with vanity cover the other a Fully built RB20 NA

I'd rather have an L with an O.S. Giken dohc head than an S20. It's still just 2 liters after all. They are pretty for sure.

Ya seeing how common it is over there.. doesn't seem like too much of a crime to go ahead with an RB26DETT.. hell there's someone on Hybridz who has a RB31DETT in his Hakosuka.. makes sense since compared to a S20 an RB is obtainned alot cheaper..

Hmmmm...

Car was restored in 2000. I wonder how bad the body really is with what looks like rust under the paint (hell it's only been 6 years since the "restoration"). A big concern would be around the rear window as the bubbling paint looks like there may be more rust hidden from view in that section. Total pain in the azz to repair properly.

I was browsing some Japanese sites last year and ran across one with a couple of actual C10 GT-Rs that looked to be in pristine condition (these were modified as well). The price break down came to around $54k US not including shipment fees and such.

I think it is a good price.. being a hakosuka owner and from also purchasing mine in Japan. Its around the price you would pay in Japan plus shipping to the US. If i had the spare change id buy it!!!
