Had to go to court in far north Dallas to deal with suing a con-artist on Tues, so had to drive there and back, and around the Metro, a lil over 700 miles total, left around 4am, got home about 10pm.

LONG day, but a fun one. OK, I still have the stock na gears, around 4.10, so it is a toy not a freeway runner right? I dont know, ran it till I saw it say 140 once, that was easy, at 130, there is a crap load of power to pull, if you hit it. Ran at 80 mostly, and up from there a bit. I got my tach working better, 3k is not 90, more like 70. I was running 4k and up almost the whole trip. I was not trying to get mileage, at all. I was playing, and looking to see how this thing lives up to a day of MY driving no a freeway. PERFECT. I opened up my front fascia to cool it, and used some aluminum to duct all incoming air to the radiator.

I HAVENT HAD A COOLING FAN TURNED ON IN OVER 800 MILES Thats good airflow. Even in sitting traffic, still been good.

I did not get good mileage, due to runnig it hard, fast, and at a high rpm due to the low gear ratio, swapping gears would have given me great mileage compared to the 12 mpg I got. I did average under 10 on 10 gallons leaving dallas. Yeah that was a fun part of the drive.

Ok so in short. I drove it hard, had no issues. no overheating, my oil is clean and looks great, has almost 2500 miles on it, about to change it.Car handles great with this engine, very nimble. A bit overpowering in certain times, but controlable. This thing has the power to get loose just about anytime it want to. When you drive it nicely it is all Nissan, and Infinity, drives smooth, quiet, and normal. Then tap the gas and you go.

Favorite part of trip was the Falken 350 Z in dallas that I schooled. Dude was pissed till we chatted at a light, didnt understand how he lost to an old Z.

In traffic, the car will gain 5-10 mph at the touch of the pedal, and decelerate very well too. thats why 80 was the speed of choice as the law prefers 70.

When I pulled into get gas, (3 times) it was never hot, or even seemed like it was tired. When I got onto it the one time to see what it would do, I can say that I can see it easily running 160's with this setup, but that would be runnnig some rpm.

Of course I did have t-tops off whole trip.

Just wanted to share some of how the car is running and what you can expect from this setup.

I wish I had known you were up here, I would have bought you lunch or something so I could see the car.

I mentioned it for a few weeks, in case anyone was interested.

Cruz down to the ATX, I dont plan to go up there with this one again, but no telling where it will end up going to when I sell it.

Ah, I missed it. I've been off the forums for weeks at a time while I finish up my multi-engine type rating.

Maybe I will cruise down there sometime soon.

I concur!

Sorry I haven't made it out there yet. Maybe later next week.

But I have to say, has to be geared too low for real world car. Overdrive top gear should yield 90 mph at 2500 RPM in a car that light. I guess I'll see, but surely even the stock G50 3.53 rear end would light up the tires in the first two gears?

Perhaps this is the argument for the 6 speed tremec over the 5 speed Z32?

I like the t56, but for this one, it will stay as is, the next one will get a diff swap. The gearing in the rear is everything. Q gears would solve the rpm, and yes, will still spin through 3rd, with a lil pedal work.

Still, for what it is with the gearing, was awsome. that it liked it that much up in the rpm, was scary, for the thought of it with higher gears, would mean that with handling, this is capable of some very high speeds, engine will pull all day.
