When I was reading the options for the 2008 G37 I came acros the option for the 7" Informational Display screen. It had it standard for all three models. Is this implying that every G37 will have the screen above the dash even if you do not get the navigation package. I would figure to display the radio station, but what else would this display?

For Non-Nav. G37's.

Hey, smokem, welcome to the NICO forums! The screen is standard for all models. The only difference is that some of the buttons will be changed. You can go see the 2007 G35 sedan to see what the layout would look like without the nav option installed. I'm not entirely sure what the screen displays entirely but I know it displays radio, car information, AC stuff, and others. Go to your local dealership and look at the sedan.

Based on the loaner 2007 G35 sedan I drove a few weeks ago (which also has the standard display) which did not have navigation. The standard display shows audio, climate control, car status (milage graphs etc), bluetooth info (if so equiped), and also allows for what I thought was a very cool feature which is that you can set a lot of the car's "preferences". For example, you can set the sensitivity of the auto headlights, the timeout of interior lights and headlights after the car is off, and a number of other settings that you would normally not be able to change or would have to have the dealer reprogram. The integration of this system in the car is one of the key features I like about the new G's.

That sounds pretty cool. Since I did not order the navigation on my G37, it is good to know that all those features are available.

Well it's nice to see you here too. I'm currently staying active on both until the G37 actually releases. Then I believe I will just stay on here to deal with all the G37 buyers and potential buyers here.
