6x9 in rear , require an amp?

I am putting two 6x9's in my hatch , actually on that lift/removeable deck peice. I am infinity Kappa 6 3/4" speakers up front , and there will be infinity Kappa 6x9's in the rear. will by Rockford fosgate rfx9000 be ok in powering this speaker setup? or do you think i should also run an amp?

Why are you buying that head unit. It only has two preouts. If you were going to power a speaker they are only getting 25 watts rms. Your kappas are 110 rms. Does that answer your question.

yes . and the headunit i owned already , so when i bought my 240 over a year ago i took it out of my previous car. Any suggestions on a amp?

for an amp , under 120 preferably. I do not need anything fancy . most of the funds are for my motor swap.

get a us acoustics 4065 from thezeb.com. I think its 130 shipped...65watts x 4 ch...i have the 4085...sounds sweet...lots of options on it too. if you only want 2 ch....try getting the 2080 i think or 2100. those kappas can take a beating...i have them too.

Ya, those amps are inexpensive and great for their price. The Zeb is a great site to buy from as well.

i have kappa's in the rear (6 1/2) those need at lease 100 watts. yes its possible to power a system with just the deck (not recommended though), its better to have an external amp. you could probably find really good 2-4 channel amp on ebay somewhere.
