6th gear problem 04 spec v

alright my 6th gear is really hard to get into. 1-5 slide in like they should but when you go to put it in 6th you have to pull hard. thinking synchronizer, checked the linkage and it seems ok. any ideas?

Just in case, have the VIN checked by the dealer for any outstanding issues.

Syncro sounds like a good bet. Try double-clutching it and see if it's still tough to get in.

called the dealer, no recalls or anything. double clutching didn't help either. anyone else ever had this problem? i think my fuel pump needs to be replaced as well. takes a while to start.

Fuel pump is a common problem.

Double-clutching ought to have helped if it's the syncro... hrm... I'll give it some thought.
