i just got this 67 411 sss and am going to tyr to restore it to some extent while also having some fun with the car. the car is missing some interior and a windshield that im trying to locate right now. other than that the car is complete. all the drivetrain is there and untouched. the car is still in stock paint tho a lil oxidized i already tired and buffed a small section out and it shined up ok. it is an automatic. ive done some research on these cars but am still new to the 411, any constructive criticism or help along the way would be greatly appreciated. let me know wat u guys think of her.

heres my new baby

Please, please don't put those abominations on a classic Datsun.

Actually, I don't think they'll fit anyway. Offset is all wrong and the front hub bore is too small.

Clean 'em up, sell them to some Honda driver and put the money in your Datto.

I'm glad to offer any help you need - my 411 is all done.

im gonna do a test fit on em and see wat happens. for free i coodnt pass it up. if they dont fit ill sell em. i do want to put some sort of aftermarket rim on and about a 17 incher. they arent too bad looking either. i know i shoodnt put them on it for the sake of the classicness of the car but i plan on lowering the car and doing some stuff to make it look a lil more streetrace-ish, not so old lady-ish.

any suggestions on a better rim?

and btw dont u have super gold plated shiny as all hell rims on ur vert and some new style multispokers (which i love) on ur 411greg? lol
and u call these an abomanation?

Yeah.

My gold rims were $6500 new, though, and they're on a radically modified, 400-hp street car. :)

My 411 has 14" steelies with hubcaps and whitewalls. Haven't you seen it since I finished it?

These have no place on a classic Datsun:

Besides, they're the wrong offset. They're meant for a FWD car. I don't think the front hub bore is big enough, either.

17s won't work if you are planning on leaving the exhaust stock. It runs out the driver's side fender well. You won't be able to turn left without the two scrubbing.

ok so ive done a lil looking around. i did fall in love with old jdm wheels. but i am buying a parts car. a 67 411 sss wagon. greg knows it casue the guy said he offered it to u also. chris' car. i think with that one and mine i will have a set of all 4 stock porthole hubcaps and will run those for a while. my freind with a toaster(xb) wants the tenzos. im looking into some work equips or some oldskool advans. something of that nature for the final outcome.

so greg wat happened to the red multispokers that are on part 4 of the build, still got em, willing to sell? and no i hadnt seen the final outcome with the hubcaps, love em. are the real datsun or just put the logo on, i didint read up just looked.

Those porthole hubcaps are worth a lot of money. Make sure they are affixed securely. I got 3 with my 411 and sold them individually to people who needed them, and made $250 total.

Those red multispoke wheels are old-school GAB Sport wheels I got from Japan. I don't know if I'm going to sell them or keep them, but they're not cheap (I might let them go for $1200 or so).

I used late Roadster wheels (wider) with Datsun 520 (pickup) hubcaps and wide whitewalls. I added the "D" logo myself.

p.s. There is a small part on the parts car that I could use if you're willing to sell it (related to the automatic transmission). PM me for details.

well the parts car is a manual but my car is a auto. if u wood like the cable that goes into the trans from the throttle linkage id be willing to sell it if/when i swap to the manual. im figuring thats wat u need since i read u had issues with it b4. i hear its pretty rare and worth alot... somewhere around 1200 so if ud like to trade for those gab sports im down lol.

anything else u or anyone u know needs on it let me know and ill see how many i have

so i worked on it today. i pulled everything out of the car and swept all the dirt and stuff. found out i have the original truck mat and both the cardboard sheets between the gas tank and the seat and the gas tank and trunk. back seat is in almost perfect condition. rear carpet is shot but will do for now. front carpet waas moldy and torn up so i kept the buttons and foot mat from the drivers side so i can make a new one. i also used rubbing compound on the fender and rear door. it cleaned up pretty good and i wont be painting it anytime soon cause i think it looks fine. there is a lil rust in the trunk but it looks to all be surface.

so here they are pics

Nice work.

Take a wire cup brush on a drill to that glued-down carpet residue and cover the whole floor with sound deadening (you'll be glad you did). There's a company that sells a carpet kit for the 411, but I have no clue who it was (I'll search later if you remind me).

She's gonna be a beauty!

That's what I'm talking about.

Check my build article, I did mine the same. Make sure to use some POR-15 or similar rust converter on the trunk floor.
