... and who says the 94-96 seats are more comfortable?

Ok, I doubt it's the seats, I just can't stand to sit that long. Ride went well, except for the backup near the Atlanta Motor Speedway. I had "hoped" to be going through ATL in the 2:00 to 3:30 range and hit town about 4:00 :bash ouch :O.

Even with the hour and a 1/2 to go about 15 miles, I made the trip in about 9 hours.

Anyone else made a good summertime run?

Brought a bunch of unlabled CD's I got with the chnager I bought that doesn't work in the 94-96's and was pleasantly surprised.

Sounds like an excellent opportunity to lie low at T3 for a couple of hours depending on which side of ATL you were on...

Seattle to Austin, 2.6 days, 2300 miles in a loaded FY33. Could have gone farther each day, but limited it to daylight except for about 4 hrs. on day two into Lubbock.

Would do it again in a flash as long as I have the the Escort 8500 X50 sampling the road ahead.

San Jose, CA to Mobile, AL. Forget how many miles. Mostly done at very high speeds. Story is in the Speeding Stories thread.

When I bought the Q I drove from Macon, Ga to Brooklyn, NY. The trip was a little over 1,000 miles.

This from a car with some blue smoke out the exhaust and the car didnt burn any oil on the trip.

Mostly drove between 80 and I hit 100 a few times by accident. Car is pretty damn smooth.

Oh, then there was Brooklyn to Seattle a couple of years ago in 3.5 days in the just acquired G50. That was nice, after I got to Wisconsin and Minnesota and could drive 65+ mph. Loved ND (straight and due west) and MT (late Friday, no traffic, beautiful roads and stunning scenery).

Return trip today, but it was a little longer due to a side trip. Made better time, thanks to no traffic slow downs in ATL.

We should get a group together and go on a 2 week traveling tour. Start in a given city and just tour the country :D.

Just did a 1200 miles trip (to Florida and back). 80-100mph. You just can't get tired of cruising in this car. Feels like you in the jet liner. I have a serious spine/back problem but driving this car has been always very comfortable so I can do 10-12 hours with no hassle. The only thing I'd like to have - mp3 player, 6-disc changer is not enough :)
