Actually Matt is probably looking for why you can't keep the stock bottom end and still increase the rpm. That is mostly do to the long stroke of the crankshaft. At higher rpms it will vibrate very badly and destroy your motor.

My solution will be to have the crank, whether new or stock, balanced and knife edged. This and some valvetrain work will allow for a small increase in redline.

I'd agree that we are not here to talk about Hondas or any other cars for that matterm but it can be helpful to make comparisons in technology and engineering to gain more understandings of the hows or whys.

Nah, C-kwik usually makes a decent point. Even if I disagree.

The Honda is such a different design engine, that I fail to see anything I would be able to take from them. Especially trying to make a high hp stroker motor. I agree that some variable cam profiles would be nice. But I'm not going to be designing a new head anytime soon.

Some one told me that duy's old car was being fully rebuilt and upgraded to the new owners expectations. I also heard it is almost done and looking for 9's

Since a large turbine will have considerable lag, I'll need higher revs to compensate. I haven't talked to any turbo manufacturers as of yet. I'm sure they'll shed a little light on the specifics for me. I'm probably going with a BBturbo from HKS. But we'll see...

Don't listen to any posts from George(aka Guess Who) it only keeps him going.

Use a large turbo along with a nitrous oxide program that operates at the low end of the power band until the turbo catches up. Jimwolftechnology.com has such nitrous program. You know, nitrous can spool a turbo VERY quickly ;)

I'm already planning on 150-200 shot of N2O constant at WOT.
