64 hillman minx opinions

Im thinking aobut trying something new. I found a good runnging RHD 64 hillman minx. I was thinking about maybe dropping in a KA and slamming it on some XXR 002s. :gotme

Just buy it and drive it as-is. And rent it out to production companies.

I live in baltimore...we dont have any production companys. We dont even have The Wire anymore

I could think of much snazzier cars to mod than a Hillman Minx. They were rather drab little sedans in their day, nothing particularly stylish or exciting about them. If you're going to mod a Hillman, I think their "Imp" would be a better choice. It was a tiny rear engined car but at least it has some pizazz. I've never driven a Minx, but I have driven an Imp. Imps draw looks, Minx draw yawns. Just my humble $.02.

Out of all the motors in the world, why would you pick a KA?

I like the KA. Its simple. I know more about that motor then any other and I dont think I wanna mess with a turbo set up. Plus it would be different.

Which was gross, the Minx or Imp? The ol' Hillman Imp was a quirky little econobox in its day, but it was quite nimble. It performed and handled more like a Fiat 850.
